Personalized DVD cartoon for kids

More personalized stuff: Childeren can now enjoy watching themselves on DVD, starring in their own cartoon.

The cartoon is offered by Its-Me.tv and is based on the pre-school hit PICME.
By uploading a picture of the star, Its-Me.tv creates a DVD of the little star and mails it a few days later to the customers' house.

The child stars in twelve episodes alongside six cute animal friends. Neville the Elephant, Banjo the Monkey, Gerty the Giraffe, Juno the Lion, Clarence the Crocodile and Umi the Parrot. Each character has a different personality. More information about the animals can be found on the site.

The child helps the animals with puzzles and play and is instrumental in resolving any story dilemma or task posed. The core theme is one of social interaction, helping one another and basic learning.

Each episode is five minutes in duration and tailored to introduce basic concepts ranging from color and shape recognition to logic and critical thinking.

Though the DVD’s static head shots lack a level of realism that would make them appealing to older kids, most small children will be delighted to see themselves on screen.

That aside, the show's bright animation, simple dialogue, and likable characters will appeal to preschoolers' curiosity, and the series weaves skills like counting and imaginative play into its age-appropriate stories.
